DESIGN INSPIRATIONS

My favourite design is probably the camera, The machine invented, designed and developed over hundreds of years with the purpose capture a moment in time. From the camera obscura which was a chamber that lets light in through a pinhole onto a sheet of paper coated with silver chloride to the modern-day digital cameras. The two most common cameras now days is the DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera and the mirrorless camera the DSLR has prisms and mirror that allow the image seen through the lens to be shown on a viewfinder before the photo is taken whereas the mirrorless camera does not have the mirrors and prisms and is fully digital making the mirrorless camera lighter and easy to carry. Cameras have developed over many many years getting more and more portable and convenient to the point almost everyone has one on their phones. The camera is my favourite design because of its function and accessibility I have the freedom to take photos of everything I see things around me that give me inspiration or ideas. It also allows me to take photos of the people around me, the events I go to and all the unique and special moments that would just be a blurry memory if there was no photo or video of it. But most importantly the reason why the camera is my favourite design is that allows me to not only keep my memories and what I see, its that it allows me to stay connected with my friends and family. Cameras have basically allowed ourselves to fully immerse ourselves into an online world where you can connect with the billions of people on the earth through social media and our phones. Also, the camera plays an integral part in modern society whether it be entertainment, politics, news and mainstream media, education, economics, marketing etc the necessity of cameras is something we can't deny, it can be used to promote products and educate people, entertain people through movies, music videos and even the memes we see on Instagram! In conclusion, the camera is my favourite design and it is something that has the power to completely change our lives and the society we lived in if it didn't exist.
